Dear Wegmans’ Catalog Designer,
First of all, kudos to you on finding a somewhat non-clichéd generic holiday image. Clementines! I love it.
Quick question though, what are we doing with this peeled clementine? It appears we are stringing a ribbon through the peeled clementine, and then what? Hanging the exposed citrus fruit in the window?
I don’t feel like you thought this through. My son George is a huge fan of clementines. We buy them by the crateful, and George eats enough clementines to ensure that no one in our family will ever get scurvy, just by proximity to him. But even with his proclivity for clementine eating, there’s often a moldy one by the time we get to the end. And that’s with their protective peel on them! I can’t imagine what would happen to this festive, secular citrus ornament sans peel, but it won’t be cover model worthy.
I guess this could be good for Festivus, because there’s one grievance we can all air.
Happy holidays to you as well,
Natasha
