Dear Neutrogena Acne Mask,

I’m not sure where to start. I saw your TV commercial the other day.

Although I don’t believe you meant for this ad to be humorous, it remains the funniest commercial I’ve seen in years. I love, love, love that this girl is just kickin’ it with her fembot storm trooper acne mask on, like it’s the most caj thing in the world.

I especially love this still frame. “Use as directed.” I like to imagine that the directions are to wear an all-white outfit (pink accents acceptable!) and act like you’re at a very minimalist slumber party while wearing the mask.

I wear a mouthguard at night because I grind my teeth obsessively. If I ever skip it for a night or two, I wake up in mid-grind (not the sexy, Eric Nies kind) and in a minor panic, so it’s always a big debate whether I bring it on a romantic getaway (no) or a girls’ weekend (usually). I can only imagine deciding whether or not to bring one’s Neutrogena Acne Mask. It’s ten minutes looking like a walking Design Within Reach chair! But the girl on the commercial seemed totally cool!
